Sidney H. Levine, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who also serves as a Qualified Medical Examiner (QME), Agreed Medical Examiner (AME), Independent Medical Evaluator (IME), and expert medical witness in La Jolla, San Diego. He is well-versed in the rules and regulations promulgated by the State of California in workers’ compensation and provides expert testimony in trials with federal, superior, and civil courts.
Dr. Sidney Levine graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He completed an internship and orthopedic residency at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center. Dr. Levine served as a medical officer in the United States Air Force.
Dr. Levine is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Medical Association, California Medical Association, San Diego County Medical Society, Union of American Physicians and Dentists, Western Orthopaedic Association-WOA San Diego Chapter, California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery, California Orthopaedic Association, Southern California Graduate Orthopedic Society, and Wayne State University School of Medicine Alumni Association.
Dr. Sidney Levine is a leader in diagnosing and treating work-related and personal injuries. He is a board-certified physician who is versed in the rules and regulations promulgated by the State of California Workers’ Compensation Board. His treatment plans focus on the injured patient to obtain maximum medical improvement (MMI) as quickly as possible.
Dr. Levine is a specialist in treating workers from the longshore industry, and he treats a wide range of complex injuries related to this occupation. He provides AME/QME/IME, federal and Jones Act evaluations.
