Dr. Newsome received his undergraduate degree at Columbia University in New York, and graduated with honors from Indiana University School of Medicine. After completing his anesthesiology residency and fellowship at Emory University he remained on the faculty for three years as an assistant professor of anesthesiology before moving his practice to San Diego.
Dr. Newsome specializes in interventional pain management and anesthesiology. He offers a variety of procedures to manage pain, such as lumbar, thoracic and cervical epidural steroid injections, facet injections, radiofrequency ablation, intrathecal drug delivery and neuromodulation.

Dedicated to providing patient-centered care based on each patient’s condition, medical history, personal goals, and other factors and objectives, Dr. Kasendorf offers an array of care options, including osteopathic manipulation, arthritis management, acute and chronic pain management, cancer pain management, regenerative medicine, electrodiagnostics (EMG) and rehabilitation services.
Dr. Kasendorf completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland, followed by medical training at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, a medical internship at Plainview Hospital on Long Island, and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Nassau University Medical Center in NY. After completing his residency, he served as medical director for his pain management and rehabilitation clinics in New York before moving to the San Diego area, where he served as associate program director for the Long Beach Medical Center before opening his practice in La Jolla.
Dr. Kasendorf is committed to expanding his knowledge and skills in the areas of pain management, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and he holds board certifications in both pain medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation from the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has also lectured extensively about the topics of chronic and acute pain management.
In addition to caring for patients at his private practice, Dr. Kasendorf maintains an affiliation with Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. He welcomes new patients, and his practice accepts most major medical insurance plans.

Dr. Jay Kunard has been providing auto accident and work injury chiropractic care for hundreds of patients in his community. Trained in advanced chiropractic therapy for traumatic injury, Dr. Kunard and his staff are ready to assist you back to optimum health and wellness. His clinic has established a reputation of excellence, professionalism, and experience in personal injury cases and has been recognized by medical and legal offices throughout San Diego.
Dr. Kunard is originally from Carlsbad, California. Before pursuing a career in Chiropractic he studied Biology at the University of California Santa Cruz then went on to work in the field of Biotechnology. Dr. Kunard has always found the sciences to be intriguing but his true passion has always been to work in health care. He decided to redirect his career and attended Southern California University of Health Sciences (LACC) and received his Doctorate degree in 2007. Dr. Kunard is also recognized nationally as a Certified Strength and Condition Specialist (CSCS). He currently utilizes this expertise in physiotherapy & rehabilitation.
Dr. Kunard’s involvement with the ALCAT test started after a close friend overcame a compromised health condition called Crohn’s Disease through elimination of reactive foods. The ALCAT Test is a blood test that determines your genetic responses to foods, additives, and chemicals. Currently involved as a fitness expert for a genomic medicine group called MD Revolution he understood how genetics and metabolic actions play in our response to food. Seeing firsthand the relevance of blood testing for genetic responses to foods and chemicals, the ALCAT Test was implemented into his Chiropractic business and model of integrated health
Dr. Kunard is an associate member of the American Chiropractic Association, California Chiropractic Association, served as the president of SCUHS sports injury council, a spokesperson for San Diego Triathlon Club, a guest lecturer at Carlsbad High School sports future first. His future goal is to help promote further community involvement and education with the help of United Way of San Diego.
