San Diego Chiropractic Neurology offers traumatic brain and spinal injury evaluations and treatment services. We do a comprehensive musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and neurological exam. We also are equipped with diagnostic VNG and Dynamic Posturography to aid in brain injury assessments. Some of our treatment services offered include chiropractic, soft tissue mobilization/massage, neuro rehab, physiotherapy, and nutrition counseling.
ABOUT THE DOCTORS
Dr. Jahangiri has a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West. He specializes in a variety of chiropractic techniques as well as neurological rehabilitation. Dr. Jahangiri is also a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board where he received a bulk of his neurological training. Dr. Jahangiri has also lectured for the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) and is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist through the BIAA.
Dr. Albinder has very similar training. Dr. Albinder has a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West. Dr. Newsome received his undergraduate degree at Columbia University in New York, and graduated with honors from Indiana University School of Medicine. After completing his anesthesiology residency and fellowship at Emory University he remained on the faculty for three years as an assistant professor of anesthesiology before moving his practice to San Diego.
Dr. Newsome specializes in interventional pain management and anesthesiology. He offers a variety of procedures to manage pain, such as lumbar, thoracic and cervical epidural steroid injections, facet injections, radiofrequency ablation, intrathecal drug delivery and neuromodulation.

Dr. Kunard is originally from Carlsbad, California. Before pursuing a career in Chiropractic he studied Biology at the University of California Santa Cruz then went on to work in the field of Biotechnology. Dr. Kunard has always found the sciences to be intriguing but his true passion has always been to work in health care. He decided to redirect his career and attended Southern California University of Health Sciences (LACC) and received his Doctorate degree in 2007. Dr. Kunard is also recognized nationally as a Certified Strength and Condition Specialist (CSCS). He currently utilizes this expertise in physiotherapy & rehabilitation.
Dr. Kunard’s involvement with the ALCAT test started after a close friend overcame a compromised health condition called Crohn’s Disease through elimination of reactive foods. The ALCAT Test is a blood test that determines your genetic responses to foods, additives, and chemicals. Currently involved as a fitness expert for a genomic medicine group called MD Revolution he understood how genetics and metabolic actions play in our response to food. Seeing firsthand the relevance of blood testing for genetic responses to foods and chemicals, the ALCAT Test was implemented into his Chiropractic business and model of integrated health
Dr. Kunard is an associate member of the American Chiropractic Association, California Chiropractic Association, served as the president of SCUHS sports injury council, a spokesperson for San Diego Triathlon Club, a guest lecturer at Carlsbad High School sports future first. David A. Petersen, M.D., FAAOS

ABOUT THE DOCTOR
Dr. David Petersen is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He joined the San Diego Spine & Joint Center in 2014 and, along with his team of nurses and healthcare providers, manages and oversees his patients’ care from the pre-operative to post-operative process.
Dr. Petersen went to medical school at the Medical College of Virginia, completing his residency there in 1994. While in the Navy, he worked at the Pensacola Naval Hospital and Naval Reserves Medical School, as well as general medical officer and assistant emergency department director at Orlando Naval Hospital with the rank of Lieutenant.
His research includes radio biochemistry, articular cartilage regeneration study, cadaveric pedicle screw study, and extensive spine biomechanics research performed at USF as part of a PhD mentor program. He conducts product evaluation for numerous spine companies and has approximately 20 patents in spine surgery.
Dr. Petersen’s goal is that each of his patients receives the highest quality medical care with a seamless experience in the continuum of care at Paradise Valley Hospital.
