Dr. Newsome received his undergraduate degree at Columbia University in New York, and graduated with honors from Indiana University School of Medicine. After completing his anesthesiology residency and fellowship at Emory University he remained on the faculty for three years as an assistant professor of anesthesiology before moving his practice to San Diego.

Dr. Newsome specializes in interventional pain management and anesthesiology. He offers a variety of procedures to manage pain, such as lumbar, thoracic
 and cervical epidural steroid injections, facet injections, radiofrequency ablation,
 intrathecal drug delivery and neuromodulation.
